◇◇ What do you know about the Endo Z Burs ◇◇
The Endo Z Bur is a combination of a round and cone-shaped coarse bur that offers access to the pulp chamber and chamber wall preparation in a single operation. This is made possible by the bur's unique design, which combines a round and a cone.
◇◇ What functions do they serve ◇◇
-
It is a carbide bur that has a safe end that is tapered and has been rounded off. Popular because the end that does not cut can be positioned directly on the pulpal floor without the risk of puncturing the tooth. When working on the internal axial walls, the lateral cutting edges of the Endo Z bur are utilized to flare, flatten, and refine the surface.
After the initial penetration, this long, tapered bur will provide an aperture in the shape of a funnel, which will allow access to the pulp chamber. Because it does not cut, the blunt tip prevents the instrument from penetrating the pulp chamber floor or the walls of the root canal. The length of the cutting surface is 9 millimeters, while the overall length is 21 millimeters.
◇◇ How exactly does the Endo Z Burs work ◇◇
After the pulp chamber has been expanded and opened, the bur is supposed to be placed into a cavity that has been created. This step comes after the opening of the pulp chamber.
The non-cutting tip is supposed to be held against the bottom of the pulp chamber, and once the bur reaches the wall of the chamber, it should stop cutting. The purpose of this is to make the procedure of refusing access more foolproof.
Note: This only applies to teeth that have a significant number of roots. It is still possible to use it in teeth with a single canal, but no apical pressure should be applied throughout the procedure.
And Caries have spread into the pulp horn or into a cavity that provides access to the pulp horn.
After that, the endo Z bur is inserted into the cavity.
The bur is moved down the pulp floor by the drive mechanism, however, it will stop cutting if it encounters a wall.
If the angle of the bur is not taken into consideration, the preparation will be over-tapered, and an excessive amount of tooth will be taken away.
However, when processing the workpiece, the bur must be held parallel to the long axis of the tooth. The bur's tapered nature will generate an optimally tapered entrance. If a highly conservative, narrow access is desired, a parallel-sided diamond bur or an Endo Z bur applied at an angle slanted toward the cavity's center can generate a narrower prep.
